Stancky Cow

The other night La's school hosted a Fine Arts Night, which was essentially an open house where parents could walk around and look at artwork that the students created. La has been talking for weeks about her "Crazy Cow" that she worked on for three whole art periods. She enthusiastically explained to us that her art teacher had praised her Crazy Cow in front of her whole entire class.

Naturally, we were very excited to see her work. And we weren't disappointed.

CrazyCow

Yes, indeed. That is one crazy cow. Complete with udders and knee caps.

But, as we meandered through the hallways and down the first grade corridor, we discovered La's true pièce de résistance.

StanckyCow

Translation:

My stankcy
cow does not
take baths
and birds
poop on he.
Why is she so
stancky!

Poor, poor, long-legged, gender-changing, stancky cow. I can't wait to bring you home and hang you on my fridge.

Kari, your little La is too cute for words. That picture is amazing! And I was laughing so hard that my abs hurt when I read the translation of her other masterpiece. She is adorable. It made me excited for future fun and laughs with Taevien. Also, your house looks so warm, cozy and inviting, love it!

When I saw the first picture you posted, I said to Kristin: Wow, La is really talented. When I saw the piece de resistance, I knew she was a genius. Love it.

Kate and I are fighting about who gets that colorful cow pic... I call dibs and will pay you! I will seriously frame that and put it up in my home some day.

Aunt Kathleen already called dibs! NO JOKE. She called me last week and she was going to frame it and put it up in the upstairs gallery with all the Peter Max art! As Kate would say, "Saw-ree."
