La's Birthday Party!

This past weekend we hosted a birthday party for La at our home. Thirteen wild and crazy kids showed up.

Man, I'm glad that's over with.

We kicked off the party with some pizza and snacks, and then there were a few competitive games of limbo, cupcake decorating (I saw a couple kids lick the frosting spreaders and put them back in the tubs. Gross, man.), bubble art, sidewalk chalk, gift opening, and finally a scavenger hunt to find their party favors.

I thought for not being a "planner," I did a pretty ok job of planning her party. Except when I wrote out the clues for the scavenger hunt. Let's just say I probably should have saved the "traipsing through the mud" part for last. Oh well. You live, you learn, right?
